Xp reinstall causes Bootskin to freeze boot.

Hi,
a few days ago I had to reinstall XP due to a trojan.
From this moment I can't use BS again : instead of displaying the logon screen after the XP bootcreen (modified with BS ) the screen is black. I tried the last 1.05a and the older 1.02 and 1.03 but the problem is still here.

My drivers are up-to-date (Ati Catalyst 6.9 for radeon x700, nForce4 6.86, XP SP2...) and I repeat, BS works perfectly before this.

Any idea or issue ?

maybe some of the more recent WU are messing with it?

Hi,

Give this a try. I had something of the same issue once.

Uninstall BS and remove the file folders. Everything gone. Then log onto Stardock Central and go to the library. Once you have done that find one that works for you and right click to download and apply. Stardock Will load BS for you. This may clear the issue, it did for me.

Cheers,
Seabass
